In order to use Public Folders on Mac you would need to subscribe to the Public Folder.

To access Public Folders in Outlook for Windows navigate to Folders tab> public folders> select necessary folder: Access Public Folders To add subfolders under top-level folders, you need to use Outlook/OWA. Maximum permission to the top-level Public Folder is Publishing Editor. Note: due to the shared environment limitations, there is no way to set up Owner permissions to the top-level Public Folder. Go to the Client Permissions tab and assign permissions.Click the name of the folder you would like to modify permissions on.Log in to HostPilot and navigate to the settings for the public folder you would like to modify permissions on: Exchange: Services > Public Folders.When you set up a top-level folder, you also need to set permissions for it in HostPilot® Control Panel. ANY help at all in getting this solved is greatly appreciated as I cannot allow all users who need to drag and drop mail items to these folders be Exchange Admins (obviously).The term top-level folder might be confusing when you look at the view of public folders in Outlook. At first glance, a top-level folder appears to be a third-level folder, but this is because the Exchange Server retains ownership of certain folders that are created during the installation setup process. Obviously I have missed something here, but I cannot see it. I have also mail enabled the folder I am trying to get this to work on and that didn't seem to make any difference (which I wouldn't think it would). Still logged in as the same user who gets this error when dragging and dropping mail items (who has "Owner" permissions on the Public Folder in question) I can post new items to the Public Folders.which REALLY makes this a weird issue. Get-PublicFolderClientPerm ission "\" | flĪs it shows exactly what I am seeing through Outlook 2007. I also checked the client permissions through EMS and they as well look correct. I have also checked the Admin rights on the "\" folder (although I can't say I did this 100% properly) through EMS by executing the command
I have checked the permissions through Outlook 2007 on each folder that I am trying to do this operation on (and recive the failure on) and the account I am logged in as is an owner (with all of the rights that entails) on the Public Folders in question. See the folder contact or your system administrator". " You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object. Once I move a member from this group to Exchange Public Folder Administrators, logon as that user and open outlook 2007, I cannot drag and drop mail items anymore without getting through Outlook 2007 as long as I am logged in as a member of the Exchange Organization Administrators group. I can add posts, drag mail items to Public Folders, etc. I can create public folders using the admin account specified in the Exchange Organization Administrators group, which is ok.
Currently I am having what appears to be rights issues with Public Folders in Exchange 2007.
